The project is being proposed as “Moon Dubai” by Moon World Resorts Inc. (MWR), a Canadian design firm. According to sources, the project will cost around $5 billion.
When it comes to futuristic attractions and breaking records, Dubai is unstoppable! The city, which is already known for its incredible Burj Khalifa, will soon add another feather to its cap by building a unique moon-shaped resort. It’s already being passed off as an engineering marvel.
Michael Henderson, one of the two entrepreneurs behind the “Moon Dubai” concept, told the local media that it will be a large and unique structure. The project, which stands 224 meters tall and has a sphere diameter of 198 meters, will have 4000 luxury suites when completed. It will have a ‘lunar surface’ and be surrounded by a ‘lunar colony.’
Guests will be able to enjoy affordable space tourism within the resort thanks to the lunar colony. The’sky villas,’ or luxurious private residences, will be another highlight of the resort.
There will also be a spa and wellness unit, an event space, a nightclub, meeting space, lounge, and a’moon shuttle’ at the property.
According to Henderson, the moon’s shape will be recreated using a carbon fiber composite material. This is a very strong and long-lasting material. Not only that, but it will be powered by solar cells. The moon’s surface will be illuminated, and the various phases of the moon will be depicted.
