The Museum of the Future has opened in Dubai, welcoming visitors to what promises to be one of the destination's most exciting attractions.

It also’speaks Arabic,’ with the facade serving as a canvas for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s poetry, rendered in the calligraphy of Mattar bin Lahej.

The shape is futuristic, and the building hopes to “open a new path away from the high-rise towers that dominate skylines everywhere,” particularly in Dubai.

Killa Design conceptualized the project, which is made up of over 1,000 individual fiberglass and stainless-steel exterior elements.

Inside, visitors can expect to encounter immersive future environments that combine science and technology.

Outside, the museum has a garden with 100 plant species that reflect the UAE’s heritage and biodiversity.

Ghaf and sidr trees, as well as palm and acacia trees, are sprouting from the green plateau where the building stands.

“The museum builds on the visionary culture that has transformed the United Arab Emirates’ into one of the most advanced nations in the world in less than 50 years,” according to a press release issued ahead of the opening.

“We represent the spirit of bravery, optimism, and innovation that propels Dubai forward.”

“Like our hometown, the museum is a place of tolerance, welcoming diverse cultural, philosophical, social, and spiritual perspectives.”

“Our goal is to shine a light in the darkness: in an age of fear and cynicism about the future, we demonstrate that things can and must progress.”

The Museum of the Future is a Dubai Future Foundation initiative.
