A New Chapter in Bilateral Relations
The launch of this direct air service marks Vietnam Airlines’ second route to Indonesia, complementing its existing Ho Chi Minh City–Jakarta flights. The inaugural flight, VN641, departed Ho Chi Minh City and landed in Bali after approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes, carrying 161 passengers. Upon arrival, travelers were warmly welcomed with souvenirs, symbolizing the deepening ties between the two countries.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia highlighted that this route transcends mere transportation, representing a strengthening bond and mutual trust. “This connection is a testament to our shared commitment to fostering closer economic and cultural relations,” the ambassador remarked.

Initially operating four times weekly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Vietnam Airlines plans to increase the frequency to daily flights starting July 2025.
