Watch as an adventurous dog climbs to the top of an ancient Egyptian pyramid

An extremely popular video shows a dog climbing one of the Great Pyramids in Egypt.

One of the three Ancient Egyptian Pyramids of Giza, the 448-foot-tall Pyramid of Khafre, is where the dog ventured. Despite the fact that it is forbidden to climb the pyramid, the courageous dog persisted.

Marshall Mosher, a paraglider and content developer, first noticed the lone dog barking at birds at the top of Khafre last week while he and several paragliders were cruising over the pyramids.

In a video released on Wednesday, Marshall stated, “We saw something we did not expect yesterday when we were flying.” At the summit of the Pyramid of Khafre, a dog is stuck. Since the pyramid’s blocks are six, seven, and eight feet high, I genuinely don’t know how it got there or whether it can descend.”

The paraglider comes back to search for the dog.
Then Mosher informs the audience that he is returning to search for the dog in case it needs to be rescued.
“We can fly over the top and see if it’s still there, even though it’s illegal to climb the pyramids,” Mosher stated. “Now, let’s search for this dog.”

When Mosher took off early that morning, the dog had already left; he claimed in the video that he believed it had descended. Later, a another video emerged that showed a dog that looked identical carefully down the stairs.

Hundreds of stray dogs prowl the Pyramids complex, especially around the base, so it’s unclear if the dog filmed at the top and bottom of the pyramids was the same animal, Mosher said in an interview with CNN Travel.

CNN Travel reported that Mosher was “actively looking for animal shelters in Cairo to help these strays find safer, less adventurous homes.”
