If Galaxy Z Fold was a fad when it debuted in 2019, Samsung has only intensified its efforts to dominate the foldable space since then. With the Z Flip (a horizontal folding phone), the Z Flip 5G, and the Z Fold2 5G, Samsung is ramping up its foldable innovation. During the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event today, the company announced the Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 5G, which are now available for preorder.
As a result of Samsung’s latest foldable phones (Galaxy Z Flip3 5G and Galaxy Z Fold3 5G), streaming videos while multitasking has never been easier.
They are multifunctional workhorses that put entertainment at the forefront of the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3 smartphones. For those who prefer to multitask with a show or movie playing in the background, Samsung’s flippable displays allow you to stream movies, play games, and watch videos while taking notes with Samsung’s S Pen or checking emails on the other half of the screen. Watching shows or movies on a smartphone on a TV is also possible with Samsung’s Smart View screen mirroring system.

The Fold3 and Flip3 come with a number of practical updates in addition to foldability: Each of the phones is water-resistant, built with the strongest aluminum ever used on a Galaxy phone, and made with scratch-resistant glass. The Flip3 is also Samsung’s most affordable flip phone to date, coming in at just $999, compared to the Flip 5G’s $1,200 price tag.
The new Galaxy Buds2 are also available for pre-order today, in addition to the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3 (to be launched officially on August 27 alongside the phones). It has noise-cancellation as well as ambient noise modes to either block out all unwanted sounds or balance background noise with your audio, according to Samsung.
Samsung’s latest foldable phones are the most durable, sophisticated, and affordable additions to the Galaxy Z lineup. This time it would be difficult to dismiss the new phones as mere gimmicks: Both the Flip3 and the Fold3 have impressive specs, convenient features (such as a cover display that shows notifications and widgets), and are water-resistant.
