Breeze Airways has officially secured its status as the newest U.S. flag carrier, marking a major milestone in the airline industry. It is the first airline in over a decade to receive this designation, opening the door for new international routes and expanded growth opportunities.
Starting in early 2026, Breeze Airways will launch its first international flights to some of the most popular leisure destinations in the Americas. Travelers will soon be able to fly directly from the United States to Cancún in Mexico, Montego Bay in Jamaica, and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

The new routes will depart from several U.S. cities, including Charleston, New Orleans, Norfolk, Providence, Tampa, and Raleigh-Durham. These seasonal flights are set to operate weekly, giving passengers more convenient options for tropical getaways without long layovers.
To support its expansion, Breeze Airways is also planning to open a new crew base at Raleigh-Durham International Airport in early 2026, creating hundreds of new jobs for pilots and flight attendants.

This international debut signals an exciting new chapter for Breeze Airways, combining affordable fares with new opportunities for travelers to explore some of the world’s most sought-after beach destinations.
