Many people’s dream is to purchase a home in rural Tuscany, but the area’s real estate is infamously pricey.
But if you take advantage of this amazing offer immediately, the dream might become attainable.
The regional government of Tuscany has said that it will compensate individuals up to €30,000 to move to mountain communities with declining populations.

Here are the details of the program and the qualified applicants.
Rural towns and villages around Italy are facing a demographic problem.
Small towns are left with large areas of abandoned homes and sluggish economies as citizens relocate to metropolis in search of better employment possibilities.
Local governments have recently devised a number of creative ways to increase the number of residents living in their areas, such as selling off houses for as low as €1.

In Tuscany, the government has chosen to bribe individuals to move into impoverished areas.
The ‘Residency in the Mountains 2024’ program will provide candidates with a purchase price range of €10,000 to €30,000 for a home.
But it has to be in a mountain town with fewer than five thousand people, and Tuscany has exactly 119.
Furthermore, the financial contribution cannot be greater than 50% of the total cost of the property’s acquisition and restoration.
Regional vice president for Tuscany Stefania Saccardi described the Tuscan mountains as “territories of unique beauty with villages to be rediscovered which, however, suffer from depopulation.”
Thus, choosing to reside in one of these towns is both a challenge and an opportunity—particularly for young people—for a fresh start in life.

For whom is the grant eligible?
The catch is that only certain people are qualified to apply for the grant.
Candidates must be citizens of Italy, another EU member state, or a non-EU country with a valid resident permit valid for a minimum of ten years.
Additionally, according to the Italian National Institute of Statistics, they cannot be residents of a mountain village but rather must be officially recognized as residents of an Italian town or city.
The Tuscany Region website has an online application form that can be filled out. Applications must be completed by 1pm CET on July 27.
