Qatar has launched a website for FIFA World Cup accommodation bookings

Qatar has announced the launch of a website for fans attending the FIFA World Cup to book accommodations.

This year’s event will take place from November 21st to December 18th, with a total of 64 matches taking place across eight venues.

Tickets are currently available on a first-come, first-served basis here.

The Qatar Accommodation Agency has “invited” all ticket holders to “apply for accommodation.”

The organization will serve as the primary booking platform for fans staying during the tournament, offering the most extensive range of accommodation options at a variety of price points.

“Although fans are welcome to book accommodation via hotel/holiday websites or other means, the QAA portal is recommended as it will have the most availability of accommodation options at fair prices,” a statement explained.

There will be a variety of lodging options available, including hotels, apartments, villas, fan villages, and cruise ship cabins.

All FIFA World Cup fans will also need to obtain a Hayya Card, which is part of the Fan ID system.

This is a digital or physical card that contains all information for fans’ visits, such as match tickets, lodging information, and Covid-19 status.

A valid Hayya Card will also provide free public transportation on match days as well as smart journey planning (via the Hayya app).
