Bark Air Goes Global: Fly Dogs (and Their Humans) in Style to Paris, Lisbon & San Francisco

A dog-centric revolution in air travel continues to unfold as Bark Air marks its first anniversary by launching exciting new routes across the U.S. and Europe. What started in May 2024 as flights from New York to Los Angeles and London has now expanded to include stops in Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, Seattle, South Florida, and San Francisco—and private charter options are now available for ultimate flexibility.

Bark Air’s signature approach treats pups like VIP passengers, not luggage. Onboard, dogs enjoy treats, calming aids, and in-flight beverages served during ascent and descent to minimize ear discomfort. Each cabin is spacious and tailored for comfort, powered by a concierge team that personalizes every detail according to the dog’s temperament and travel history.

Since launch, Bark Air has carried over 1,000 dogs on more than 140 flights, covering nearly 400,000 air miles. In response to soaring demand and high-return bookings (12% of passengers fly again), the airline is increasing frequency on its core routes.

But the perks come at a premium. Typical fares run around $8,000–$8,900 for a journey like New York to London for one dog and one human, though private charter packages are also available for bespoke itineraries.

According to CEO and co-founder Matt Meeker:

“One year later, we’re proud to have delivered on our promise, offering dogs and their people a stress‑free, joy‑filled way to explore the world together. We’re just getting started.”

Bark Air’s bold expansion sets a new standard in dog-friendly travel—where beloved companions aren’t just passengers, but honored guests.
