new diamond shaped bridge in georgia

The diamond-shaped hanging bridge in Georgia is not for the faint of heart

The new 240-metre-long diamond-shaped hanging bridge is the new tourist attraction in Georgia may be reserved only for thrill seekers.

The bridge suspended above Dashbashi Canyon, two hours by car from Tbilisi, may inspire you to have a drink and take in the view at the massive diamond multi-level bar at its center, or to ride across on a bicycle attached to a zip line.

“It’s amazing and crazy at the same time. It’s strong, it’s not going to fall,” said Gal Gvaral after nonchalantly cycling while suspended some 280 metres above the canyon.

The authorities wanted to attract thrill-seeking tourists who enjoy outdoor adventures while also promoting the natural environment.

The Georgian-Israeli Kass investment Group spent three years and €37 million building the bridge.

The bridge’s owners claim it is the world’s longest and tallest free-hanging structure.

Paths to the canyon and its waterfalls, panoramic views, a giant swing, cottages, and a hotel are also part of the complex.

The Tsalka nature reserve, where the bridge is located, is still relatively unknown on the tourist trail, but investors hope that this eye-catching attraction will attract more visitors.

“This is one of the most spectacular resorts that we have ever built,” says Yossi Tenery, who represents Israel’s largest travel, ISSTA Group.

“We hope that plenty of people will come, touch, smell and enjoy this piece of beauty.”
