Taxi Seine Paris – Beginning on June 5, 2024, a new taxi-boat service in Paris will link the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, improving tourist mobility and connecting important Olympic locations.
By means of 10 taxi-boats, each capable of accommodating six passengers, this novel and eco-friendly mode of transportation for tourists links two important tourist destinations: the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. The Paris Port Community (CPP) and Haropa Port are introducing “Taxi Seine Paris,” a brand-new Seine shuttle service between two ports of call: the Louvre and La Bourdonnais, a few weeks before the 2024 Paris Olympics. The initiative is called “Paris je t’aime.”
Due to its convenient location between two of the main Olympic venues, the Concorde Urban Park and the Eiffel Tower Stadium, Taxi Seine Paris also enhances the Olympic experience for visitors. Discovering SPOT24, the Olympic, sport, and urban culture exhibition next to the La Bourdonnais shuttle stop, is another chance it offers.
Thanks to a digital booking service, it’s as simple to use as a taxi: just choose a route on your smartphone, and the first boat that fits leaves. Five minutes is the maximum amount of time before a booking is confirmed. Also, shuttles can be reserved up to 24 hours in advance.
This taxi boat deployment in the French capital and its environs contributes to the enhancement of mobility on the Seine. The initiative was devised during the 2021 Sustainable Tourism Conference. In addition, as part of a collaborative, voluntary initiative headed by Paris Port Community (CPP) and Haropa Port, river transportation—which currently uses only 25% of the energy required for land travel—is undergoing a program to retrofit new propulsion systems. Of the 150 commercial vessels on the Seine, 40 will have already undergone this process by the time of the Olympics.

The CPP’s small boats committee launched this effort, which is also a real manifestation of their resolve to turn the Seine into a major tourist destination. The river offers a constant backdrop of remarkable buildings and architecture, as well as exceptionally attractive landscapes that are accentuated when viewed from the water. It is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site.
This is an additional service offered to residents of the Paris region as well as visitors for their travels throughout the city and for an alternative perspective of Paris.
