Here’s what to expect at the Dubai Shopping Festival, which starts on December 16th

Dubai: Dh6 million in gold will be up for grabs during the Dubai Shopping Festival. That equates to 24kg of gold. And that isn’t all. The upcoming edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival will be a delight for the shopper in you, with luxury cars to family sedans and up to 90% discounts across top malls in Dubai.

Here are the top takeaways from the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment’s DSF calendar, which was announced today.

When does it start the Dubai Shopping Festival?

The 27th edition of DSF, the world’s longest-running shopping festival, will begin this week on December 15 and run until January 30, 2022.

Raffles are a big draw.

The month-and-a-half-long festival will give people various chances to win in raffle draws, ranging from the Nissan Grand Raffle, in which people who fill up at Enoc stations stand a chance to win Nissan Kicks, Patrol, X-TERRA, or X-TRAIL, to the INFINITI Mega Raffle, in which participants can win an INFINITI QX80 and Dh100,000 in cash every day. There’s also the DSF Mega Cash Prize Draw, the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group Raffle, and weekly raffles held by malls throughout Dubai.

Open markets

Long-term residents of the UAE will recall DSF’s early years, when open markets were organized on either side of Dubai Creek. The outdoor markets will once again provide shoppers with the opportunity to enjoy good food, buy trinkets, and engage in family activities while enjoying the best winter days in the UAE. Etisalat Market OTB in Burj Park and DSF Market in Al Seef are two examples.

Fireworks and drone shows

To add to the fun, daily fireworks and drone shows will be organized.
