The Ain Dubai, also known as the Dubai Eye, is now open to the general public

Ain Dubai, or the Dubai Eye, the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel, has finally opened its doors to the general public. On October 21, at 2 p.m., Dubai’s much-anticipated entertainment hub was inaugurated with a two-day opening extravaganza. Apart from the entertainment, the main draw of the event was Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Right before the gates opened to the public, the prince was seen video shooting himself on top of a pod of the Ferris wheel.

He later shared the video on several social media platforms.

A few facts about the Dubai Eye that you should be aware of.

1) At 820 feet tall, Ain Dubai, also known as the Dubai Eye, is nearly twice the height of the London Eye. One can enjoy magnificent views of Dubai’s skyline from here.

2) The massive wheel has 48 capsules that can hold 1750 visitors. Each ride lasts approximately 38 minutes.

3) There are also special offers and packages available for celebrations and functions such as birthdays, engagements, weddings, and business functions.

“We’ve seen the excitement across the city peak as we get closer to opening so it was only fitting that we host an opening that was in line with all that Ain Dubai has to offer as the ultimate celebration destination. We can’t wait to welcome the world to see everything beyond the stunning view of Dubai’s dazzling skyline available at Ain Dubai, from family entertainment to sunset views and DJ sets. We have plenty of surprises in store across the two days, making it the perfect place to spend the long weekend.”
