Dominica is offering 18-month visa to remote workers

Not to be confused with the Dominican Republic!

The pandemic has forced the travel sector to change its usual style of business, which resulted in introducing unique and creative travel trends to remain afloat in business. The most popular trend during this phase has been the offering of long-term digital nomad visas. Initially started by some countries, it is now being embraced by various others too.

Reportedly, several places across the globe are now making it easier for remote workers to become temporary residents; the newest destination to embrace the trend is Dominica.

As per the latest news reports, the island nation is inviting remote workers and digital nomads to bring their work-from-home setup to the Caribbean. It recently launched Work in Nature (WIN) extended-stay visa, through which visitors can opt to relocate to Dominica for up to 18 months.

Why should you consider this offer? Here, visitors will find cascading waterfalls, volcanoes, rain forests, natural hot water springs, apart from sandy beaches, and the Caribbean’s first long-distance hiking trail. These features have earned Dominica its nickname, Nature Isle of the Caribbean. Reportedly, with the said WIN visa, visitors can now grab the opportunity of experiencing all that and more during their long-term stay on the island.

Under this program, both families and individuals are welcome, with Dominica even offering a family bundle program to encourage children to attend school on the island. To be selected under this program, you will have to prove that you earn an annual salary of at least $50000, or have other means of supporting yourself, and your dependents.
